Technology
Technology is not a support function to be managed. Done right, it is how a business leads its market, makes a real difference to its clients, and stays in step with where the world is moving. Done wrong, the technology agenda runs ahead of the business case, and the investment never returns.
The hardest technology question usually comes before any program begins: is the direction itself right? Do the digital moves serve where the business is going and the impact it wants on its clients, or the technology agenda? Will the investment scale and hold up as the business evolves, or quietly lock it in? Large programs then span geographies, functions and regulators, and carry real business, financial and reputational risk, so the second question is whether the program is led with the judgement to hold it together when it hits its inevitable inflection points.
This is judgement from the program director's chair, not the observation deck: three decades leading large-scale technology and transformation programs for global banks across multiple geographies and regulatory environments, where every major decision carried commercial and regulatory consequences. We do not write code or deploy systems. We provide the layer above, the direction, the governance and the hard calls, and, because our own delivery was built AI-enabled from the outset, a clear-eyed view of where AI genuinely helps and where the technology is running ahead of the business case.
What Technology covers
Our Technology work spans four connected areas: digital and IT strategy; large-scale transformation programs; systems integration; and vendor and multi-stakeholder program management. The first decides the direction and the impact; the other three decide whether it is actually delivered.
Digital and IT Strategy
Where technology should take the business, and whether each move earns its place: build versus buy, comparing products and platforms, preparing and running the bid or RFP, and choosing what genuinely serves the business rather than the trend of the moment. We test the direction before the spend, for alignment, scale and future-fit, and the client impact it is meant to create. You commit to a direction you can defend commercially, not just technically.
Large-Scale Transformation Program
When the change spans geographies, functions and stakeholder groups and the risk of stalling is real. Success turns on the unglamorous disciplines: executive sponsorship held firm, a phased approach starting with the least critical, and proof before trust, testing, parallel runs, staging against production, disciplined cutover, and the change management that makes people adopt it. You get a program led to results, not merely monitored.
Systems Integration
When success depends on disparate systems, and the teams behind them, working together: online and offline, batch and real-time, across interfaces and API connections, old alongside new. The judgement that matters is sequencing, which to prioritise and which to defer, how to run them in parallel through transition, and how to keep core data intact. You reach a working whole, not a set of parts that never quite met.
Vendor and Multi-Stakeholder Program Management
When delivery runs across multiple vendors and parties, each with its own incentives and contract. We manage the seams: defining and enforcing SLAs, managing contracts and sub-contracts, holding each party responsible for what they own, and aligning everyone to the outcome rather than their own scope. You keep control of a program that would otherwise fragment across the people delivering it.
How it connects. Technology usually begins where a Strategy direction calls for a major digital move, and it leans on Governance for board-level oversight of large programs and on Finance for the investment and benefits case. Where the change reshapes how people work, the capability side connects to Elevare.
